Description

  • BREW PERFECT TASTING TEA ACCORDING TO YOUR UNIQUE PALATE. Whatever type of tea you like to drink, consistently make it to exactly your taste preferences and those of your guests each and every time.
  • BETTER FOR THE ENVIRONMENT, NO MORE BAGS TO THROW AWAY. Standard teabags do not fully break down which pollutes the environment. Using loose leaf tea eliminates the need for a potentially harmful bag.
  • COMPATIBLE WITH ALL TYPES AND FLAVORS OF LOOSE LEAF TEA. Whether you prefer green, black, white, chai, breakfast, oolong, herbal, Pu-Erh, Lavender, Chamomile or Peppermint, you'll make a great cup.
  • SO SIMPLE TO USE. Simply put your loose tea leaves in the strainer, steep in a mug of hot water as long as you like, press the plunger to maximize the release of rich flavor, and remove from the cup.
  • GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR TEA DRINKING EXPERIENCE. Bagged teas tend to not use the whole leaf and restrict development and proper flavor infusion. Loose leaf allows for all of that.

Customer Reviews

Absolutely Recommend this item !!I personally really love this item. I'm a huge tea drinker and I try to stick with as natural as possible which means more loose leaves and flowers instead of processed things in tea bags that you have no idea what it is. Before this I've tried many of the other infusers like the silicon ones. Those are cute but in my opinion and experience not practical. The tea just doesn't have the right circulation of water and air going in and out which would then allow the tea to steep properly and give maximum color and flavor. Most of the tea in the silicon infuser would be wasted cause the holes in the infuser would not allow enough performance for the tea to work.I really like using my metal ball infuser with the two tong handle. I was able to put enough tea in it and soak it in my cup with lots of water going in and out of it. The only complaint I had with this infuser was I couldn't squeeze the extra juice out of the leaves from the infusers. So you got whatever naturally dripped out of the infuser but not all the real hardcore flavor from the leaves after squeezing it.When I saw this Jokari Healthy Infuser I was soooooo excited to buy it and try it. I wanted to taste the difference between just infusing your tea in our traditional infusers without squeezing the extra flavor to this product, and boy !!! the first time I used the squeezer to squeeze all the leftover flavor from the leaves that the other infusers couldn't I was amazed. You can see the darker extra flavor come over and the tea is much more flavorful and stronger. of course if you like watered down tea then this item is a waste of money. I was brought up on tea and lived near many tea plantation fields. I love everything about tea....it's benefits, it's smell, taste, grain, how and where it came from........you want to use a product that best treats and extracts the goodness from them.I've only used this item 2-3 times and so far I love it. My only concern in the future will be two things...... 1) it's plastic so cracks and breakage could happen, 2) my biggest concern is the mesh......it can eventually rip if not washed or kept properly, and the mesh getting clogged up from the previous usage and not being washed properly.Overall yes I recommend this item and for the money even if it breaks it's affordable enough to buy another one.5Great convenience, but be careful with the lidThese are just the most convenient things for single-cup loose tea lovers like myself. Love that I can stir and squeeze out the tea with ease. You do have to be careful with the lids. If you squeeze too much tea too hard, you can pop the lid off, and additionally the lids can fly off if you're roughly shaking used tea leaves out. Have broken a couple lids this way! Wouldn't mind a sturdier version of this (a metal one would be amazing), but aside from that, great product design and I love how easy it makes drinking loose tea!If you find the lid is frequently popping off when you use the plunger: don't stuff the chamber so full of tea, and/or hold the lid down with your finger. Since I've owned a few of these now, I can say some of them have better lids/plungers than others, the manufacturing isn't super-consistent.Some people cite problems with particles. Particles may seem strange to people accustomed to modern teabags, but they're just larger versions of the particles suspended in water that make this tea. You can strain your tea through a tea cloth before drinking if this is of serious concern for you, but in that case, you're better off brewing your tea outside the cup instead of using an in-cup infuser. They do make looseleaf teabags, so if you want, you could probably line the side with the larger holes with a teabag and solve your issue.5Great infuser!I drink a wide variety of teas and have owned quite a few infusers. This one is the best I ve had! The main thing I love about it is the extra fine mesh; no matter the type of leaf I use, I wind up with very, very few grounds in my cup. The absolute only negative I can think of would be the lack of a cross piece at the back of the infuser...something to wrap my fingers around when using the press to drain water from the leaves. But that is just being picky. Overall, the best infuser I ve owned and I would not hesitate to buy again! A really great product.5Nice idea but....When I first saw this I was super excited because I thought it would be perfect- the plunger being a great addition so I could squeeze out every last bit of delicious flavor :-) Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to my hopes. First thing out of the package when I went to give it a rinse the lid popped right off even though I didn't flip it that hard. It went right back together, but I was a little unsure how well it would work after all. The holes on one side are a little too big so quite a bit of tea ends up floating around. That doesn't really bother me all that much, as it sinks to the bottom after a bit, but I know that would be a deal breaker for some. The saddest part for me was when I went to use the plunger, even with a slow gentle depression, the lid popped open spilling all the tea into my cup. No matter what I did the lid would not stay closed when trying to squeeze the tea with the plunger :-( The idea behind this product is a good one, but I think it needs a little more work to be really useful.2Seems like a good idea, but it's not. Surprisingly resilient to blows from a hammer.I saw this and thought "Damn, that's a great idea!". As with most times in my life that I've thought that, it turned out terrible. First off, when it was working, the holes in the back are large enough for a fair bit of tea detritus to seep out. I don't understand why you'd put a fine screen on the front, and then just mold some larger holes in the back. Also, if you open it up after using it and tap it on the edge of the trash bin to empty it, you can count on having to fish the screen flap out of the trash, because it comes detached pretty easily. Now on to the fun part, where I apparently put too much tea in the infuser, and when I attempted to squeezed the "good stuff" out of the tea, it popped open and dumped tea leaves all in my cup of tea. As I was angrily leaving the room to empty my cup and throw this POS in the trash, I stepped on a curtain and spilled my messy hot tea all over myself. It was at this point that I decided to see how well this item would take a blow from a hammer, while laying on a concrete floor. The answer is, surprisingly well. It took several good blows with a 16oz hammer to satisfactorily destroy this thing. It took about three to four angry blows to actually break through the plastic mesh on the back. The spring-loaded button part was the first to go, and then it just bounced around the floor, in fear of my enraged hammering.2Good Addition To Your Strainer CollectionThis little tea strainer is inexpensive and handy. As others have mentioned, it will flip open when you push on the plunger hard, just be aware and either hold it (I hold the tip with my nail) or press less. Aside from that, it works well.Note that the size of the "bucket" works better for small leaf/shreaded type of teas. I have a longer leafed white that looks like little twings, and they do not fit in the tea strainer. Also, with some "dustier" teas the strainer will let some get through, not really an issue. So I keep a few other strainer tools on hand.So far my "best" way to use it is to fill with tea, seep in one cup, then transfer to a second hot cup and seep while I enjoy the first. Then push the plunger in the second cup and get a good, robust second cup.4Great Product!!!! Literally Love Love this tea strainer, I ve used the cheap ball ones from the $1 which was fine but it was annoying to open. I threw it away the first day. Then I tried the strawberry this one sucks!!! Literally all of my tea was in the cup! Then I tried this one this morning and decided to write a review right away. Yes a bit of the tea dregs were at the bottom but it was so little! After reading the reviews I was skeptical but after using I will be buying an extra one for me and one for my friend. I drink detox teas and this is perfect! 5Leaks your tea leaves into your tea This tea steeper will leak the tea leaves into your tea. Fine if you want to read the leaves, but not otherwise. Worse, if you steep herbal tea, loads of bits and pieces will float off into your tea. Nasty. One reason is that the thing won't snap shut the way it should. Just can't recommend this at all, though seems like a good idea. 1Meh, maybe not for tea diehards, but great for the armchair tea drinker at workThis is a great idea. Really, I was really excited about this thing because I was going to be able to brew all of my loose leaf green tea, yerba mate, and pu-erh tea at work without looking like a madman swigging tea leaf muddled water. It fits a good amount of leaf in there, and can accommodate a tea bag (especially useful if your tea bags don't come with strings). The screen keeps tea material in very well but the holes on the back somehow let out a ton of loose leaf material (if you've ever brewed mate, you'll know that there's a good amount of tiny bits that can only get caught by a fine mesh or a tea bag or a bombilla in a cup full of mate tea) despite not letting a lot of air out of the compartment. That's what really irked me about it. I don't want to have to squeeze my leaves just to push the air out of the compartment. If the air doesn't let itself out, you're left to shake it a little or squeeze the plunger a bit or you're stuck with a buoyant little tea wand that isn't soaking your leaves. Also, if you get tea material in the little divots that lock together, the compartment might not stay closed very well. Then it doesn't matter how fine the mesh is, you're getting a bunch of free floating leaves.Overall, I like it. It's very handy for teas that don't have a lot of smaller material (some pu-erh teas and green teas without matcha). On the other hand, I think it misses the mark a little on a fully functional tea wand, but for the price, it's a great option for something at work if you like brewing loose leaf teas.ProPrice is goodLike the coloringFeels pretty sturdyLittle thing on bottom works well to suspend the wand on the lip of your mugConsMesh on front plus big holes on back equal lots of tea material sneaking outA little tough to clean out with the little plunger thingPlasting means it doesn't stay put in your mug very well if all the air isn't out of the compartment3Jokari Tea InfuserThis is a very neat gadget! Being bedridden in a rehab facility, getting a good cuppa is a challenge. The nursing staff are very good but when it comes to brewing a cup of tea it comes either tepid or just a mug of hot water in want of a teabag. There are glorious moments when the mug arrives with hot well steeped tea.The infuser loaded with a teabag immersed into the hot aids in getting the best out of the tea. Then the plunger squeezes the teabag very efficiently no wrapping teabag string around a spoon.I like it.1Tea time! Lets be honest here shall we- This is a very awkward shaped device. It looks cheap, feels cheap and is cheap. Sells for $8 here on amazon. Having said that then lets get to the real issue- Does it work? Sure does! as an infuser its great, doubles as a spoon to mix in honey, sugar, agave nectar, whatever right. The selling point on this is that you can squeeze out the last of the juices with the handy plunger- an option I've not seen anywhere else. Is the plunger sturdy? Well for pressing tea leaves it is. so lets reviewCons*cheap*bulky*plasticPros*affordable*doubles as a spoon*miraculously converts plain water into tea!*the plunger means you get every drop of flavor with out a trail of tea on the floor*Its only $8*you need a new tea infuserI would totally buy this again, and have even bumped this baby into my daily line up and semi retired my cool ducky tea ball and traditional tea ball. $ stars just because hey, it is plastic and kinda cheap feeling/ looking. 4Tea timeI generally use a tea bag and then have to squeeze the bag with a spoon. Messy. I'm still using a tea bag but I cut the top off and slip it in the holder. I have had no problem at all with it popping open as some have. I have found for real fine tea, like dust fine, some has leaked through, but it is no problem. I also found if you put the whole tea bag in, it doesn't squeeze as well. Over all I am very glad I found this product. I intend to purchase again for my daughter in law who is also a tea drinker. It is just what I was looking for.5It may have a learning curve (how to pack the tea), but worth it.We like this option better than tea balls, since there is only two ways to have an accident with this, that the tea balls have bigger problems (unscrewing in your use, dumping tea everywhere), burning your hands, etc. The learning curve is how to pack the tea (with our fingers, or spoon it into the strainer works well), DO NOT squeeze down the end until you are cleaning the strainer, as the plunger releases the lock on the tea holder, to eject the tea. So use it, swirl the spoon to release all the essence of the tea into your cup, and eject AFTER you put the strainer into the sink or into your composter, or into your trash. Also one more piece: the little plastic swing hinge can easily come off. How you handle this is pretty easy, just snap it back together. Hope this helps, we have 4 of these, and they are better than the bamboo (which can mold), the metal which can burn your skin and still drop all the tea out into your cup, and can warp so that the bottom and top of the metal no longer aligns well. This is worthy.5
